Meet your personal
trainer: Wes.
I'm not going to stand over you with a clipboard. We pick something that challenges both of us, get on camera, and do it together — same workout, same hour, both of us sweating. You get a training partner who happens to know how to program.
I'd rather train with you
than at you.
Wes — founder of MOOD, based in Houston. Here's the honest version.
I played four years of college football at Harvard and got voted sole captain in my last one. I spent two summers teaching in Cambridge — genuinely the best two summers of my life. Coaching and teaching are the things I'd do full time if money were no object. MOOD exists because I can't be on a call with everyone at once.
These sessions are the version where I can. We're not doing a demo and a clipboard. We pick something that's hard for both of us, we do it together, and I coach you through it while I'm in it too. That's the whole idea.
We do the workout together
You're not being supervised. I'm on camera doing it with you — same movements, scaled to where each of us is that day. It's the difference between homework and a training partner.
We pick it together too
Tell me what you're chasing and what you hate, and we'll find something that's genuinely a challenge for both of us. I'd rather be slightly out of my depth with you than coast.
Nobody gets yelled at
That's the app's line and it's the rule here too. Show up drained and we train drained — we don't pretend. The fastest way to quit is a program that only works on your best days.
“Training with Wes honestly just feels like working out with one of your boys who happens to really know what he’s doing 😂 He’ll joke with you the whole time, but the second you start getting lazy he’s on you. Somehow you end up lifting heavier or doing way more than you planned to. Good vibes, great coach, but don’t expect him to let you off easy lol.”
“Wes is literally the best 🙌 I’ll come in complaining that I’m tired and don’t feel like doing anything and somehow 10 minutes later I’m fully locked in. He makes you feel super comfortable, keeps you laughing, but still pushes youuuu. Like sir I said I was tired 😭 I always leave feeling so much better than when I came in though.”
“Wes is my guy 💯 I’m not even gonna lie, some days I hate working out with him because he knows exactly when I’m trying to cheat myself. Like I’ll be completely done and somehow he’s convinced me I have 5 more reps. But that’s why he’s good. He knows his stuff, he actually pays attention to you, and he makes the whole thing fun. You’re gonna talk shit, laugh, get a crazy workout in and leave feeling like you actually did something.”
Pick how you want to train.
All of it is live over video, wherever you are. If you're in Houston we can do it in person instead — just say so when you book.

Everything here works
from anywhere.
All five options are live over video, so it doesn't matter if you're in Houston or Helsinki — you need a patch of floor and a camera, nothing else.
But I'm in Houston. If you are too, tick the box when you book and we'll sort out somewhere to meet instead — a park, a gym, wherever. Same session, same price, just in the same room.
Pick a session & timeCancellation, plainly.
No small print. This is the whole policy.
The obvious questions.
What do I actually need?
Space about the size of a yoga mat, a phone or laptop propped so I can see you head to toe, and water. If you have dumbbells or bands, say so in the form and I'll use them. If you don't, the session works anyway — that's the whole point.
Are you actually doing the workout too?
Yes. Not the whole thing every time — if I'm coaching your form on something I'll stop and watch — but the plan is that we're both working. I'd rather pick something that's a genuine challenge for both of us than run you through a circuit I could do in my sleep.
I'm in Houston — can we meet in person?
Yes, and I'd like to. Tick the box on the booking form and I'll email you to sort out where — a park, a gym, wherever suits. Same session, same price. Everything else on this page is over video and works from anywhere.
What if I'm not in shape yet?
That's the normal starting point, not the exception. The first session is diagnostic more than anything — I want to see how you move before I ask you to do much.
Why is the intro call free?
Because if you've downloaded MOOD you've already backed me, and half an hour of straight answers is the least I can do. Book it with the email you used in the app. You don't need to be a paying subscriber, and there's no pitch at the end — you'll get a written plan whether you book anything else or not.
How does the weekly standing slot work?
You pick an hour once and it's yours every week — already on the calendar, no re-booking, $200 a month. It only offers you hours that are genuinely free for weeks running, so it doesn't collapse after a fortnight. Cancel any time from your confirmation email.
And the 4-session pack?
Pay once, book your first session now, and the other three arrive as a code in your confirmation email. Redeem it whenever you want a slot. Good for a full year — no expiry pressure.
Do I need the MOOD app?
Only for the free intro call. Everything else stands on its own, though they work better together — I'll usually program your week in the app after a session.
Group sessions — can I bring people?
Yes. Six max per slot. Everyone books their own spot at the same time so I know who's coming, and you all land in the same room.
Lock it in.
Your time is held while you pay.
You're booked.
Confirmation and calendar invite are on their way.
